A Portrait of Kristofer Ström

Art seems to be getting a bit pretentious these days. People are becoming so full of themselves that they can’t even see that all they’re doing is producing straight shit, which the art community has enough of already. Still, it’s possible to find artists who are extremely talented and quite humble at the same time, such as illustrator and song writer Kristofer Ström.

He’s a modest husband and father who has had a plethora of past and present jobs, varying from a one man band to a position as an art director. He’s known for  making art that is amusing, interesting, and enjoyable for both the eyes and ears. His work has a continuously shifting style, and almost always has hints of humor, and cynicism. There’s a short documentary about him (a little over 18 minutes long) which gives a general biography, as well as how he comes up with his designs and music. Well, here it is:

He also has a youtube channel, CLICK HERE, where you can see a lot of his completed work. He’s been doing work for commercials and television, as well as creating videos for nearly all of his music.

Finally, I’ll end with a video of his, one that is particularly strange that he made for the television show “Kobra”:
