El Sicario: Room 164
We all know that Mexican drug cartels are really, really cool. Loved by all, these street angles know how to have a good time. They selflessly supply the thirsty masses with the drugs they so desperately need. Yet sometimes they go too far, and stray from their noble paths. Gianfranco Rosi’s documentary “El Sicario: Room 164” shows how easily a charitable cartel hitman can be backed into corner… much like batman. The documentary is just now gaining some attention in the states, watch the trailer here:
Think the ending of “The Dark Knight”:
“Because he’s the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we’ll hunt him because he can take it. Because he’s not our hero. He’s a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.”
Thank you drug cartels.

Gucci Vump (aka Brodinski) Presents: “Nothing But a Guxxi Thang ” Mix
Gucci Vump (mainly known as Luis Brodinski of French record labels Ed Banger and Sound Pellegrino) just released this fat mix titled “Nothing But a Guxxi Thang”. The mixtape is surely dope, heavy, with that undeniably swagged out Chopped-‘N-Screwed – Lean-Sipping-Styrofoam-Cup-With-Jolly-Ranchers-At-The-Bottom kind of vibe added to that techno vibe we are all familiar with Brod… I mean, Gucci Vump. In other words, pure awesomeness. Enjoy HERE and download HERE.

Ford Models Interviews: Justice
Anticipating their album “Audio, Video, Disco”, Ford Models sat down with french duo Justice to ask them a couple of questions in regards of their carriers, personal lives, and, of course, their latest project. The interview is rather interesting, and conducted in a pretty unusual way, where the questions are only revealed at the end of the whole thing. Also, you might want to turn up your volume, as their french accent, for as hot as some of the girls might think, is kinda difficult to comprehend (worse comes to worst just stare at Gaspard’s jacket for the whole thing). Enjoy:
Most importantly, make sure you grab a copy of Audio, Video, Disco. And by “grab” I mean buy, I’m tier of hearing so-called die hard fans that complain about how these artists can’t make top charts, tv channels, when they don’t even make the effort to help out on actual record sales. So yeah. Buy it.

Small Black Presents: “Moon Killer” + “Two Rivers (ft. Heems)”
Brooklyn-based Small Black announces the release of “Moon Killer” for this upcoming 11/11/11: a free mixtape characterized by dream-like beats, soft synths, and NY rap influence (at least that’s according to speculation and past releases from the band). Little Black’s style is a great mash of all genres, of past and present, and, eventually, the future of music. The band put emphasis on track “Two Rivers”, which was released today to tease the audience, featuring none other than Das Racist’s Heems, who donated a couple of freestyles and raps and is the only vocal feature of the album.
